ACYA - Publications Director

The objectives of the Director are to oversee and manage the delivery of a high quality, bilingual and topical suite of ACYA publications.

ACYA - Publications Director

The Publications Director is an appointed position on the ACYA National Executive and is a member of ACYA’s Operations Teams. They are responsible for managing ACYA’s flagship publications as well as compiling its organisational documents like the biannual ACELS Publication and the Annual Report.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compile the ACYA Annual Report;
  • Contributing to ACYA’s media and posts;
  • Contributing regular ACYA content on ACYA's social media and website;
  • Oversee and manage the Publications team;
  • Report to the Operations Manager each month and attend monthly team meetings;
  • Represent ACYA in public forums, when required.

Requirements

  • Time commitment of ~10-15 hours/week;
  • Demonstrated project management ability (team-leadership experiences preferred)
  • Experience in writing and publishing;
  • (Required) Fluency in English
  • (Preferred) Fluency in Mandarin
  • (Optional but preferred) Experience managing across cultures, particularly with respect to the Australia-China relationship.
