ACYA is excited to announce the details of the 2022 National Executive by-election.

ACYA 2022 By-Election

The Australia-China Youth Association is excited to announce the details of the upcoming 2022 National Executive by-election:

8 PM  AEDT / 5:00 PM CST on Monday 7th March 2022

• Attendance will be via linked conference call on Zoom

• All National and Chapter Executives and ACYA members are welcome.

Positions that are currently vacant, include:

Elected Positions (i.e., voted for at the AGM) These positions are required to make a short 2-minute speech at the by-election.

National Treasurer

Partnerships Manager

Appointed Positions (i.e., selected by the incoming National Executive)

IT Director

Media Director

All applications should be sent by email, with a CV and cover letter, to the ACYA Returning Officer elections@acya.org.au by 11.59 PM CST 4th March 2022. As indicated above, elected positions are required to make a short 2-minute speech at the by-election.

Applicants are welcome and indeed encouraged to apply for multiple roles. Please state your order of preference among the roles you have applied for. Successful nominees cannot hold more than one position in ACYA.

All 2021-22 ACYA National Executive Committee members, National Directors, and current Chapter Presidents are eligible to vote. Voting information will be distributed following the speeches.

All positions begin on the 11th of March.

As ACYA continues to grow beyond its 7000+ membership base spread across chapters in Australia and China, it will look to the passion, ability and enthusiasm of its executives to lead the only youth-administered NGO in Australia-China affairs that is run by members, for members.

We strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply and look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
